Angelo Alo
Angelo Alo was born in Montreal to a family of musicians of Italian origin. His father Francesco worked in Italy for the circus as an acrobat, and he also played and occasionally still plays the trumpet. His mother Livia also played and still plays the piano and makes exquisite home dishes. Angelo started playing with musical toys and instruments at the age of four. He got his first real instrument at the age of 10, it was an accordion. He then studied the accordion for about five years and then went on to study the organ and the piano. Later he would also learn to play the trombone, the bass, and the guitar. Started playing with bands and back-up singing and eventually lead-singing. In 1976 Angelo recorded an album with his band under the "Salsoul" label with Carol Jianni who later went on recording in the States and had a few hits there. In 1988 he was on the album’Scoperta-88’, where he sang his song "Senza di te" and also appeared on CFCF-12 for that song.
In that year he also had the chance to sing lead with wonderful big bands such as The Preville Big Band, Peter-Freeman Big Band, and others. He also had the chance to sing (and play live) the song from Elton John "Candle in the Wind" at Mix-96 Radio Station. Angelo has sung with many singers including Roxanne Potvin (sings with Mario Pelchat), Julie Brazeau, Odile Casta, Michel Chayer (Guitarist), Christine Bourdon, Geraldine Hunt, Marie T, Perry Canestrari etc. and the following agencies: Leslie Hoppenheim Entertainment, Nat Raider Productions, René-Angelil, Johnny Monti, Montreal Casino, CR Productions, and others. You can reach Angelo directly at (450) 687-0503. E-mail Angelo.
